Mar\u00eda Isabella Godoy, jefa del Gabinete de la nueva espiritualidad de Cultura, Recreaci\u00f3n y Deporte de la Alcald\u00eda de Caracas, hizo entrega de entradas a m\u00e1s de 300 ni\u00f1os de  escuelas de iniciaci\u00f3n de baloncesto,  adscritas al Instituto Municipal de Deporte y Recreaci\u00f3n (Imdere), para apoyar a nuestra selecci\u00f3n vinotinto en el  encuentro de basquetbol, entre Venezuela y Argentina el pr\u00f3ximo domingo 23 de febrero.<\/span><\/div>\n

 Los peque\u00f1os se congregaron en la cancha principal del Bulevar \u201cLeonardo Ruiz Pineda\u201d, de la populosa parroquia San Agust\u00edn, actividad que se dio en el marco de los Carnavales Caribe Caracas 2020.<\/span><\/div>\n

Godoy a quien cari\u00f1osamente llaman \u201cLa China\u201d, salud\u00f3 a los presentes en la actividad basquetbolista y dijo \u201cEstos encuentros de baloncesto, son el claro reflejo de la evoluci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 teniendo esta disciplina en Caracas y en todo el pa\u00eds, ma\u00f1ana todos unidos en una sola barra, auparemos a nuestra selecci\u00f3n, para que gan\u00e9 el tan esperado cupo a la Copa de las Am\u00e9ricas 2021\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n

Igualmente, Harold Ramos, presidente del Instituto Municipal de Deporte y Recreaci\u00f3n (Imdere), transmiti\u00f3 un saludo a todos presentes, agradeciendo especialmente a todos los padres y representantes, por permitir que sus hijos estuvieran presentes en esta actividad, \u201cHacer deportes hacer Patria\u201d y auguro un futuro promisor a todos los chiquillos\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\n

Entre los equipos presentes, estaban: Atl\u00e9ticos y Mundo deportivo (El Valle), La Charneca (San Agust\u00edn), El Cementerio, Los guerreros (Santa Rosal\u00eda), Mecedores, Guerreros de Dios y El Retiro (La Pastora), All Star, Ciudad Tiuna (Coche) y Los \u00c1ngeles y Cutira (Sucre).<\/span><\/div>\n

Esta actividad cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n Yenni \u00c1lvarez, Concejala de San Agust\u00edn, Reinaldo Mijares, Director de Cultura de San Agust\u00edn y Thelma Palacios, Directora de Desarrollo Social de la parroquia, entre otros.<\/span><\/div>\n

El encuentro se disputar\u00e1 este domingo 23 de febrero en el Poliedro de Caracas, ser\u00e1 el segundo juego de la primera edici\u00f3n de eliminatorias clasificatorias rumbo al Campeonato FIBA Am\u00e9ricas o Copa de las Am\u00e9ricas organizado por Federaci\u00f3n Internacional de Baloncesto (FIBA), donde selecciones del continente americano competir\u00e1n por 16 cupos para el campeonato de las Am\u00e9ricas, a realizarse entre agosto y septiembre de 2021.<\/span><\/div>\n

El equipo nacional viene de hacer historia el pasado jueves al derrotar por primera vez al conjunto albiceleste en suelo argentino, quedando como ganador Venezuela con sangre y sudor 74 x 68.<\/span><\/p>\n
